We've all been there—starting a new healthy habit with enthusiasm and determination, only to find ourselves slipping back into old patterns after a few weeks. You might wonder, Why is it so hard to maintain these habits that I know are good for me? The struggle is real, but understanding the reasons behind it can help you overcome these obstacles and create lasting change.

​1. Unrealistic Expectations
One of the most common reasons people struggle to maintain healthy habits is setting unrealistic expectations. We often expect instant results—whether it's losing weight, getting fit, or improving our mental health. When progress isn't immediate, it's easy to become discouraged and give up.

Solution: Set small, achievable goals and celebrate each milestone. Understand that change takes time, and progress is progress, no matter how slow. Focus on consistency rather than perfection.

2. Lack of a Clear ‘Why’
